⛄️: Cream cheese (regular or dairy free), blueberries, carrot nose, and an apple hat.
🎄Wreath: Mashed avocado (seasoned with some lime/lemon juice and salt, thinly sliced spinach, and red bell pepper bow.
🦌Rudolph: peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter), pretzels, chocolate eyes (these are the ones I make from Halloween but just regular chocolate chips are great too), and a raspberry nose.

I happen to have a bag of fresh cranberries in the fridge so definitely going to make these Healthy Cranberry Orange Muffins this weekend!
These fluffy muffins are full of flavor and packed with whole grains. I use applesauce and Greek yogurt to keep them super moist, but I’ve tested dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free versions that all work out well too (subs in the full post).
If you don’t want to use a food processor pulse the cranberries, you can easily chop them by hand too.
Fun recipe to make with little chefs (or have a peaceful baking moment like I did and do it alone 😆).

The kids and I brainstormed these ideas for you over the weekend. I’ve seen how much more invested and involved in a holiday meal kids can be when they have a task. Having kids help doesn’t have to be a huge deal or take a lot of time.
⭐️Even 1 minute of stirring a pot or placing a dish on the table can make a difference!
(And then you can move on to the last idea on the list 😉)

🥔My 6 Tips for the BEST Mashed Potatoes
Probably the most popular dish on our holiday table. What’s yours?
1️⃣Make sure to cut your potatoes evenly. To cook quickly I quarter and then slice them. It’s also really important that you liberally salt the boiling water. That’s where they get flavor!
2️⃣While the potatoes are boiling, heat butter and milk in a sauce pot with a few cloves of smashed garlic and a few sprigs each of thyme, sage, and rosemary. Once the butter is melted and the milk is hot turn off the heat and let everything steep together. Strain this into the potatoes after you mash/rice them. This add SO much flavor!
3️⃣I love using a ricer tool to get the fluffiest texture. It’s kind of a pain but for a special occasion I think it’s worth it. I’ve also heard that using a hard mixer works well too.
4️⃣Cream Cheese! I think it makes everything better. 😂 I usually put a whole brick in for holiday potatoes. It’s seriously so good. But you can use sour cream or Greek yogurt if you prefer.
5️⃣No need to make the mashed potatoes the day of. Make them ahead, spread them in a baking dish or large pan, cover with foil, and then bake them until hot right before serving (while the turkey is resting).
6️⃣To really take your mashed potatoes over the top, dot little bits of butter over the top of the baking dish before covering and refrigerating. That way, when you reheat the potatoes every scoop gets a little pool of melted butter.
Oh and one more thing…make sure you TASTE and add more salt as needed. Potatoes need way more salt than you think and they won’t taste great without enough salt 🧂.

These high protein, easy to customize, a perfectly portable little egg cups are great for kids and big kids, like us!
Inspired by @fooddolls large version that I tried and loved. I thought mini ones would be perfect for kids to help make and enjoy. I love that you can fill each of the cups will different toppings… whatever you like in your omelet or quiche.
The tortilla on the bottom gets nice and crispy in the oven, and I found reheating them in the air fryer works wonderfully when you make them ahead.
If your kids don’t mind eating egg dishes cold, these would be great for a lunch box too.
