High Protein Funfetti Fruit Dip

Looking for a snack that’s as fun as it is nutritious? This High Protein Funfetti Fruit Dip (aka healthy “Dunkaroos”) is super easy to make, packed with protein, and perfect for getting kids excited about getting into the kitchen to help. Serve it up with a colorful fruit platter or pack it into individual containers for a festive treat on the go!

Kids in the Kitchen:

This is a great recipe for kids of all ages to make start to finish.

  • Have kids measure all of the ingredients and add them to a large bowl.
  • Kids can help mix everything together. Just make sure to use a big enough bowl so it’s easy to mix and not spill over the edge.
  • Don’t forget the best part–add the sprinkles on top!
  • Kids can even help prep the fruit to use with the dip by washing and chopping then arranging everything on a platter.

Subs and Tips for Making High Protein Funfetti Fruit Dip:

  • Yogurt: I find that full-fat, whole milk yogurt has the best flavor for this recipe. My favorite brand is Wallaby but any Greek yogurt you like will work well.
  • Dairy-free: Use whatever dairy-free yogurt is your favorite.
  • Protein powder: I don’t have a favorite protein powder because it’s not something I use very often. You can use any dairy or plant-based protein powder that you like.
  • Nut-free: You can just omit the almond butter to make this recipe nut-free. It will still taste great without it.
  • Sprinkles: You can use any kind of sprinkles you like for this recipe. These Color Kitchen dye-free sprinkles are what I used in the photographs in this post. I also really like getting sprinkles at Whole Foods. You can just go up to the bakery and ask for a container. More sprinkle options are on my Amazon store HERE.
  • Snack containers: I snack pack containers you see in the photograph below can be found on Amazon HERE. There are also plastic ones that come in a large pack if you prefer something more disposable HERE.
